Expressions of the Songmistress

by Autumn Dawn Leader

/
1.
He sees her moonlight She dances in his dreams He feels her reaching out to him Calling out his name Calling "Wake up I'm waiting for you Come to me I cry out to you Find me now I'm waiting for you To wake up And make the dream come true" Sweet kisses in the moonlight Embraces in the dark Together in this moment And in each others arms She whispers "Wake up I'm waiting for you Come to me I cry out to you Find me now I'm waiting for you To wake up And make the dream come true"
2.
Pardon my brokenness Pardon my fear Pardon me, Darling I cant fight the tears Oh, I've tried (so hard) Yes, I've tried Excuse me for breathing I can't catch my breath I'm dreaming of living I'm longing for death I'm so tired Bloody tired And, you understand nothing so well You have my best interests at heart I can tell (ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh...) And, you understand nothing so well You have my best interests at heart I can tell Pardon my sorrow Pardon my grief Pardon my laughter At your belief You know best (don't you?) Sure you do Excuse me for seeing Straight through your bull My eyes have become Immune to your wool

Waterfall 04:27
I close my eyes against the pain I don't want to feel this way again Try to shut out the world and all its games I can't fight the tears I know I cannot win And I go under once more (not for the last time) I can't breathe - yet I'm still breathing, somehow My heart crashes on the rocks below I'm pulled to and fro Overwhelmed by the rushing force that brings me down Crushed and bruised, under it all Waterfall

Don't try to put me in a box I'll never fit inside your lines I wouldn't call you narrow-minded I'd call you normal And that's worse for me That's worse to me Don't expect me to react the way you think that I should Call me crazy Call me crazy Call me... But, really I'm just not what you'd call normal And I don't care I don't care What you think Of me

Timeless 03:24
When I look in your eyes It's myself I see Underneath the shell of my skin I begin to let you in to me Reflections of my heart Spoken in your words Written on timeless pages My dream's now given breath To sing love's fragile song Ringing through endless ages This will never get old I feel eternity in your kiss Your eyes have promised me a thousand things Your arms have never failed to give You've never failed to give When I listen to your voice It's the truth I hear Singing above the noise and pain Your sweet refrain, unchained and clear Reflections of my heart Spoken in your words Written on timeless pages My dream's now given breath To sing love's vic'try song Ringing through endless ages This will never get old I feel eternity in your kiss Your eyes have promised me a thousand things Your arms have never failed to give This will never get old I feel eternity in your kiss Your lips have promised me a thousand dreams Your heart has never failed to give You've never failed to give

Life is hard - so much sorrow, too much pain But there is no one to blame For the wind and the rain It all falls down, and no amount of tears will make it stop We all get caught In the wind and the rain So be yourself; go against the grain There's no one to blame for the wind and the rain All we can do is try to hope again 'cause there's no one to blame for the wind and the rain Tempest high, spirit's low - we cry in vain We have no one to blame For the wind and the rain And time is cruel, and love's a very fragile game And still we've no one to blame For the wind and the rain So, be yourself; go on, and jump that train And, hold your head high for me once again All we can do - this much is plain - Is learn to survive the wind and the rain There's no one to blame

about

This album is a collection of hopes, dreams, madness, frustration, depression, and a whole lot of love. Among its features is the addition of the beautiful African drum, the djembe. These songs reflect the deepest parts of me. They are my expressions and I hope they will touch you.
